Who is Grammy J you ask? Well, she is my
special friend from the Garden! She is one busy lady let
me tell ya. She is constantly spreading her love and
compassion through out the Garden. Her poems and sayings
lift up your spirits and her little gifts that she
always leaves me are just wonderful. The
only way I know that I can thank Grammy J so very, very
much for all her unconditional love and friendship
and kind, kind words is by making this page to perhaps
show her how much she is thought of.
So, in her honor, I make this page to display all
her wonderful gifts she has sent me that I will
cherish always. When she joined the Special Friend
committee, they could not have gotten a better member.
Thank you so very much, Grammy J, for you friendship and
all your wonderful gifts. God Bless You

I've yet to
meet an absolute perfectionist
whose life
was filled with inner peace.
The need
for perfection and the desire for
inner
tranquility conflict with each other.
Whenever we
are attached to having something
a certain
way, better than it already is,
we are,
almost by definition, engaged in a losing battle.
Rather
than being content and grateful for what we have,
we are
focused on what's wrong with something
and our
need to fix it.
When we are
zeroed in on what's wrong, it implies that
we are
dissatisfied, discontent.
Whether
it's related to ourselves--a disorganized closet,
a scratch
on the car, an imperfect accomplishment,
a few
pounds we would like to lose or someone
else's imperfections, the way someone looks, behaves,
or lives their life the very act of
focusing on imperfection
pulls us
away from our goal of being kind an gentle.
This strategy has nothing to do with ceasing to do
your very
best but with being overly attached
and focused
on what's wrong with life.
It's about
realizing that while there's always a
better way
to do something, this doesn't mean that
you
can't enjoy and appreciate the way things already are.
The
solution here is to catch yourself when you fall
into your
habit of insisting that things should be
other
than they are.
Gently
remind yourself that life is okay the way it is,
right now.
In the
absence of your judgment, everything would
be fine. As
you begin to eliminate your need for perfection
in all
areas of your life, you'll begin to discover
the perfection in life itself.

Noticed I was all
alone today
But realized I never felt alone
Now I can log on the computer
Instead of going for the phone
It's wonderful when people visit
And I love my phone calls too
But now I have this special place
To come and visit with all of you

I can take the extra time in here
To say it with a poem or rhyme
To sit and think what's in my soul
Where I am not hurried for time
Where I can take a moment out
To think of how I want to reply
And when something touches me
I can unashamedly just sit and cry
Things I would never say in person
For it's easier to say in written words
Because you my very special friends
Have heard what no one else has heard
I can come to you with anything
No matter how silly, real or unreal
You're always there to show you care
And just let me express how I feel
It seems it is easier to talk to you
Than with any one else that I know
For I can let my guard down here
And let all of my emotions show
So I thank you all for being here
And I count you as treasured friends
I hope I will always be here for you
And I pray this kinship never ends

IN MY
SOLITUDE
I GATHER THOSE THINGS AROUND ME
THAT SUSTAIN ME
MY THOUGHTS OF TIMES PRESENT,
MY MEMORIES OF TIMES PAST,
THESE MOMENTS CLOTHE ME AS A CLOAK
WHICH WARMS AND SOOTHES
THE SPIRIT WITHIN AND RENDERS
A HAPPINESS THAT I WELCOME
THE SNOW COVERED CAPS OF YONDER MOUNTAIN
THE SNOWFLAKES THAT FALL AROUND THIS PLACE
AS LIGHT AS A FEATHER'S TOUCH
OH! THAT I COULD WIELD A PAINTER'S BRUSH!
THE QUIET MAGNITUDE AND BEAUTY THAT
HOVERS OVER MINE SOUL
BRINGS QUIET PEACE
AND I AM SECURE IN MY THOUGHTS
THOUGHTS OF LOVED ONES
THOSE HERE AND THOSE WHO HAVE PASSED ON.
MEMORIES OF GREAT FRIENDSHIPS I HAVE KNOWN,
TRAVELS THAT BRING SUCH LIGHTNESS AND BEAUTY
TO BEAR UPON MY MIND
OF GRAND PLACES VISITED,
THE JOLLY GOOD TIMES.
IN MY VISION OF THINGS PRESENT,
THE STILLNESS OF THIS SCENE BEFORE ME
BRINGS A CLOSENESS
TO ALL THINGS AT HAND
THE SMALL ANIMALS THAT SCURRY ABOUT
THE BIRDS PICKING AT THE SEEDS THAT I THREW OUT
FOR THEIR GREAT FEAST
ON CHRISTMAS DAY!
ALL IS WELL WITHIN MY
SOUL
AS TWILIGHT HASTENS
AND EVENING SHADOWS CAST THEIR SPELL
I WISH SUCH PEACE FOR ALL
IN THE NEW YEAR
AS I FIND HERE
IN MY "CABIN IN THE SNOW"

FRIENDSHIP
-
plant
a
seed
and
it
will
blossom!

I came upon this place one day,
Didn't know what to expect,
I wondered if I'd be rejected,
Or if me they would accept.
I stumbled on a hidden treasure,
Not knowing what I'd find,
Was this special group of people,
Of a very different kind.
People who are beautifully nice,
Their kindness knows now end,
And I knew, in an instant,
These people I must befriend.
So I threw myself out there,
Starting to let my work show,
And over time, I developed a love
That still continues to grow.
I've never known such people,
With such compassionate hearts,
Kind words, amazing poems,
They are truly set apart.
I pour my heart into my poetry,
Every single thing I feel,
And yet they understand me,
It all seems quite unreal.
That I could find something,
So very wonderful and great,
These people, full of love,
Were devoid of any hate.
I have found a second home here,
Absolutely perfect, so it seems,
And I'll continue to trust my heart,
In those whom I've never seen.
Hugs

To love another person one must
be first be a friend
open up their heart & share their passions from
within.
To be willing at any cost to sacrifice what they share
and sometimes even let them go to show how much they
care.
To walk each other through the good times and the bad
being there for each other when you're happy or you're
sad.
Never once being afraid to trust in each other
Always give them space and do not try to smother.
Knowing sometimes it's ok to want to be alone
but knowing if you need them their number's by your
phone
Clinging to each other on a dark and lonely night
Laughing with each other when everything is right
