When I started making porcelain
dolls years ago I was quite
happy with just making little
dolls, toddlers. Then my friend,
who is my teacher, talked me
into doing A (one) lady doll. So
there I was doing a lady and
saying that I wasn't doing
another one especially a large
lady doll. Well, one lead to
another to another to another
and I have two large ones (36")
and the rest is history. I love
making the ladies outfits,
fussing with them and decorating
the hats and such. I have
dresses made and no dolls to go
with them yet and I have
patterns and material to
make dresses for dolls I don't
have yet!! I can't seem to
give it up. We put an
addition onto our house two
years ago and I think we will
have to put another one on just
for my dolls. lol I think
my husband would have a fit if I
suggested that!!
I
am proud to show my ladies. I
worked very hard on them and am
pleased with what I have done.
However, they do keep getting
better and better. I usually
have two or three dolls on the
go at one time most of the time.
I don't know how to do just one
doll anymore. It is too boring
for me and not fast enough to do
just one! lol
